For cars, the 2026 ASFINAG prices are €9.60 for 1 day, €12.80 for 10 days, €32.00 for 2 months and €106.80 for the year — about 2.9% more than 2025. Motorcycles pay €3.80 / €5.10 / €12.80 / €42.70 for the same periods.
›Is the Brenner motorway covered by the Austrian vignette?
No. The A13 Brenner motorway has its own separate section toll on top of the vignette, just like the A9 Gleinalm/Bosruck tunnels, the A10 Tauern and Katschberg tunnels, the A11 Karawanken tunnel and the S16 Arlberg tunnel.
›Which motorway sections in Austria are vignette-free?
A handful of short border-area sections need no vignette at all: A1 Walserberg–Salzburg Nord, A12 Kufstein border–Kufstein-Süd, A14 Hörbranz–Hohenems, and A26.
›Is 2026 the last year for the physical Austrian sticker?
Yes. The fire-red 2026 sticker is the last physical vignette ASFINAG issues; from 1 February 2027 only the digital vignette will be available.

The 1-day and 10-day digital vignettes can be set to start immediately. For the 2-month and annual vignette bought online as a consumer, the earliest validity start is the 18th day after purchase.
›What is the fine for driving without a vignette in Austria?
Drivers caught without a valid vignette face a replacement toll (Ersatzmaut) of around €120 — doubled if manipulation is involved — plus administrative fines that can range roughly from €300 to €3,000.
›Can I change the license plate on an Austrian vignette?
Before validity starts, a plate correction is free. Once the vignette has become valid, only annual vignettes can be corrected, and only for specific reasons such as relocation, total loss, theft or a damaged plate, for a fee of €18.
